With health inevitably absorbing a larger share of GDP, keeping the overall current public spending share roughly flat is not going to end austerity, or reduce poverty.

I agree that the decision to continue postponing an increase in Fuel Duty is depressing.
Coupled with the increased cap on bus fares (in England), it is also unfair and regressive, and will make it harder to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution in our towns and cities, and more difficult to encourage active travel.
